Syria has 5 major refineries. The U.S. controls 3 . Russia / Iran has joint control on the 4th. The 5th (smallest) is controlled by Syria gov. The come up is oil, precious earth metals & resources, non-terran artifacts. Israel and U.S have had ops in Syria for a long time
