Atop the highest mountain peak, there is a treasure known only through the oldest of whispers. It is the best kept secret that everyone keeps. We do not discuss it for it would be cruel and unbecoming to romanticize over these trifles. But we all know it to be there calling our name when we sleep or sip our morning coffee. At the top of this mountain there is a cliff and from the lookout you can see the graveyard of the giants. Most after stepping off this ledge will succumb to their earthly weight and fall to their deaths, joining the giants in their slumber. Only the holiest of us will float; Float out and drift among the yellow skies, drifting after the sun as it goes and goes and goes...

We are all orphans waiting for daddy to come home from the grocery trip he left for all those years ago. The practical ones, heirs to daddy, the pagans, choose power as the orienting basis for how to live life. The middle children, the athiests, nialists, but also the romantics, are bitter that daddy left and proclaim him dead. The young ones are "wise for their age" and claim to feel his presence and know him intimately, these are the Christians.

Youth culture has shifted country in the last 5 years. 5 years ago kids were waiting line for Jordans. Now they go thrifting. In the past 5 years we’ve seen the rise of musical artists like Morgan Wallen and Noah Kahan. My feeling is the former appeals to the right and the latter to the left. I feel like this shift will have political ramifications too but idk. Maybe I’m projecting. Anyone else see this?

Biden’s dropout is illustrative of the soft power of voice in this country. There was no straightforward process toward administering this choice. Biden himself was the only one wielding hard power over the decision. However, it is obvious that “soft” power was exercised NYT, MSNBC, many politicians, and twitter accounts who called for his step down. Pelosi, Obama, and the others prized as dominant singular voices of the Democrat party wield a significant portion (if not most) of their power through their words and stated alliances. Left wing media outlets can even wield significant sway by invoking these individuals names and claiming insight into their “real” opinions. We are walking a thin gray line between democracy and theocracy. Democracy is a moot point if media gatekept in the hands of the few.

So I’m weighing building on Optimism vs building on Cosmos. Despite its many flaws, the Cosmos idea of building app chains resonates. It seems like the most straightforward way of monetizing/incentivizing others to push eco is to have a PoS token. Please help me decide so I can get building.
