Good Chomsky video. Need to watch the Managed Democracy one you shared in comments - don't have 45m to commit right now though. Trying to look at things in the US pragmatically and realistically, revolution is probably the only "realistic" way of the citizens' regaining a foothold on the climb to an equitable society. Right now, corporations and capitalists have a vice grip on things. However, I'm not sure, pragmatically, how a revolution can take place. Too much of the population is comfortable enough with the status quo and rate of ceding control to the 1% to take serious revolutionary action -- if we're being honest, I could be included in that group and I am mostly on the side of revolution. 1/2

Then, even once we have a significant portion of the population ready and willing to take revolutionary action, we need to be organized, coordinated, committed, and willing to endure a very difficult period of strife. Again, the 1% has a vice grip on the government (courts, legislature, military, etc) and a lot of the means of production. Hence why the buy-in from the 99% needs to be so significant, in both number and level of commitment. Realistically and pragmatically, it is an extremely tough uphill battle (and an extremely worthy/necessary one as well) Speaking of revolution... https://x.com/unusual_whales/status/1864762668587893072 2/2
