How do you foster a culture of high standards on your team? Esp curious about small remote teams of equals (eg cofounder-like relationship, not employee/manager)

Most people would consider this an anti-signal but basically a to of feedback early and often. You must have high standards yourself and must not let them drop for anything - deadlines, management pressure, etc. You proliferate these standards by training new hires yourself. You become their first source of feedback to set the quality bar. Eventually you can train people how to train people (again, via overwhelming feedback). But at first, you must be the bar of quality.
