I used to write all of my side projects in JavaScript because it felt faster. Now, I go back to old ones and cringe when it's not in Typescript. Makes it so much harder to figure out what's going on.

I get nervous even thinking about some of my old stuff. So much jquery that I imagine would create a black hole that enveloped the world should I try to run it now.

Skill issue.  I have sites running jquery and react 0.x that are running a decade later.

That’s what’s great about web apps.  They last forever if you code ‘em right.
