I’ve been pro-PoS and ‘hooray Merge!’ so far and believed the argument that PoS is more accessible/equitable than PoW.

But now I'm wondering if that’s wrong, since post-Merge ~5 companies will control 2/3 of validators. 

Is PoS a centralizing force?

I don’t know that it is different. I’d previously leaned towards thinking PoS was more democrat than PoW because of the resources required to mine at scale. But I’m questioning my own thinking now. If a few major companies control a majority of validators, is that bad?
