My experience running a crypto fund for 6 years

Pros
- get to meet and work with some of the smartest founders / teams
- spend days learning many interesting things
- straightforward biz model

Cons
- can be sharp elbows / political
- a lot of fundraising / LP management if starting fund
- far removed from building

My conclusion of running funds: best way is w/ ur own money/or family money

Would have been way stricter with the LPs that we took on since a handful of them made up the bulk of the work (didn't have as much luxury to choose when we started but in hindsight it wasn't worth it to take some of them on)￼
