Farcaster

I’ve been back on farcaster for 2 weeks now and here are some things I’ve noticed:

1. The experience is very subjective and largely depends on who you’re following, what channels you’re in, what games or frames you use etc. Which is great once you find things you like and enjoy but before you find your groove it can feel weird or boring. 

2. The UX is a lot smoother than before eg. you can don’t need to scan a code to log in on farcaster you can just open the app. (There are sometimes bugs with liking posts or casting though but I suspect that bad internet makes them worse)

3. There are a lot more ways to earn now: rewards for casting, invites, rewards for developing frames, airdrops for being active are all cool. 

4. The community seems to love naming features like fapps, warplet etc which is fun. But I lowkey feel like it adds friction and confusion for new users if everything has a different name from what they’re used to.
