When I was a PM at Coinbase for internal tools (compliance, fraud, data, finance, etc), almost everything I worked on was internal

Now the biggest difference with working on a consumer product is the constant navigation of people's stated vs revealed preferences. Easier when it's just FinCEN requires this :P

Dogfooding the product regularly, focusing on pain points vs specific features people are requesting (unless they come up independently multiple times among different users)

Haha my ideal would be people reveal what they state but that is definitely not always the case :) totally fine that happens but navigating it a bunch at first was interesting for me

People are confusing to themselves let alone others!

The truth is nobody knows what they want, I bet even FinCEN wasn't happy

Revealed preferences are much more obvious through an internal lense.
