Of course! You need periods in between sentences to break them up, I'm just talking about the one at the end of a paragraph. Exclamation points and question marks convey sentiment so they should should be included as well. Only the period should be discarded

But shouldn’t a paragraph have multiple sentences? What about exclamation points!!
