The dahlias are truly beautiful. Do you use them primarily for floral decorations, or are they grown mostly for their beauty and their contribution to biodiversity?

i usually pick half and leave half in the garden. i grow them because they’re easy to grow and they are excellent flowers. my mother always grew them so that may also be a factor

Many plants enjoy living together, I also saw a bit of thyme :)

i totally over-planted the bed but was too lazy to weed another bed! 
so they have courgettes and a sneaky few beans as neighbours - but they are about to finish so the dahlias will have more space soon!
