(you got to bear this non stop parenting casts from me for a few months) I am finding it hard to soothe the baby to sleep after a feed. He is well fed - but still gets fussy - wanting something more. Holding him on my chest or shoulder and gently rocking him isn’t soothing him like it used to the first couple of weeks. Any tips/techniques that could help me here? Currently trying some white noise sounds, and trying to keep it calm and not too much light. Used a pacifier a couple of times - but hesitating using it frequently.

How old is your little one? The reason I ask is that they go through growth spurts at specific times, which can drastically change how they eat and sleep! Check out ‘The Wonder Weeks’ to see if your little one is going through a big milestone.

He is 2.5 weeks old now. Wonder weeks seems like a good resource. Will check it out, thanks. 5000 $degen.

Hang in there Wondering why you’re hesitating to use a pacifier “too much” ? My baby is 2.5 months old - never takes a pacifier - I really wish she would - especially for falling asleep And times she’s not with me Sleep is sanity - if the pacifier soothes the baby- do what you need to do is my POV Also wonder weeks app is an amazing resource as someone already said

Thanks Leyla. Actually I don’t know why I am hesitating on pacifier. But I am easing into it more now, thanks to this thread. 5000 $degen.
