Regardless of your opinion on the presidential debate, it's scary to see how some major social media platforms are censoring opinions that are primarily anti-Biden. Just take a look at major subs on Reddit for example. We need decentralized platforms more than ever for uncensored discourse, for the good and the bad.

Funny how ppl are saying that @vitalik.eth is sequestered with his peers on here and that Farcaster is involved in a culture war. Rooting for Web2 vs Web3 in a "culture war" is like rooting for a dictator vs a democracy. Ethereum shines because of Farcaster, not because of @vitalik.eth shilling on twitter.

How close are we actually to having AGI? Some people are convinced it's coming within 10 years, whilst others are saying much longer. I guess no one really knows.

I have such a love/hate relationship with most social media platforms. Twitter, reddit, YouTube, Facebook, etc. They have all abandoned any sense of community and function for profits. Youtube is basically unusable (ads). Reddit closed off their api and their app is garbage and the mods suck. Shall I say more?

The average person and even crypto enthusiast has no idea how much development is going on in web 3 and L2s right now. It's honestly hard to keep up over the last year.

Can web3 platforms beat out legacy large tech platforms by not needing to abide by expectations of enormous profit margins and not needing to enrich stakeholders? Essentially just build a good product and sustain its best qualities and the community. Focusing on profits over community seems to be a disadvantage.

We need a lot more channels. To start, some major ones that are missing for me are finance and general crypto.

The modern incentives to participate in capitalism seem to be quickly deteriorating and unsustainable. The work to wealth distribution is way off balance and I don't see it re-balancing without major failures. We live in a globalized gambling economy.
