Covering a Protest Video is too long to post here, so here is a thumbnail. I took this video on May 30, 2020, in Minneapolis, MN, during the first week of the George Floyd protests. This is what it's like to cover a protest. Toward the beginning, you will see a protestor shot with a rubber bullet. Eventually, they spray the protestors and release a LOT of tear gas. Only available for 24 hours. https://remx.xyz/leslie-a-spurlock/drop/2cba54d8-5075-43e4-bf94-4c20c982fbd6

So much violence in these protests. Makes me think about how all the protests are being treated now. Not a rubber bullet in sight.

Thank you for taking the risk, doing the work, and bringing essential narratives like this to the world. I live in the Twin Cities. I drive under this bridge on Lake Street to take my kid to practice. My friends live in and around this area. I appreciate this very much.

Really amazing Leslie, I've only been in "normal" protests - a colleague of mine lives right in this area about a block from the police station that was burned down. He said it was absolutely inane what was happening.
