lately when I refresh warpcast, I constantly get different cast to show up, sometimes i just refresh multiple times for the sake of doing it in hopes the top cast catches my attention. Most times I feel disappointed so I revert back to my manual creation of notifications. 

I think if the UX is done right, choosing your algo is worthwhile if the user can have the sense of the change. If not, "choose an app not algo" applies as Dan says. Just requires deep creativity imo.
