Because I am having a hard time with my own mind. I always think I should have more. Be more. Own more. Live more. 

but it’s simply impossible for someone my age to have it all! In fact, I am very much aware I am on that top. I have conquered a lot. 

So even if I’m sad, wish was different or wanted to do a different thing, I just try to be grateful. 

The job I don’t like gave me what I have. I dreamed with my apartment for years. I have the car of my dreams, even though it has been hard. I can choose what I want to eat and I can travel. My parents are well and alive. 

Practicing gratitude is a repetitive exercise and every time I get these toxic talks I bring myself to the ground.
