1. The work required to make video play in the background, not lose your spot, chapter markers, etc. is significant!

2. Farcaster doesn't penalize links in the algo -- so easy to link to a YouTube video (which has a boatload of nice features like automatic transcription, clipping, link to timestamp, download offline, watchlists, etc.)

3. Short videos in-feed, long videos in the better tools

Specializing in each experience is a recipe for stagnation. Creating an elite video viewing experience won’t move the needle for Warpcast, and most users would even then still prefer to watch videos on YouTube.
