This is why one open social graph protocol will win - new apps need to immediately populate content and today do everything they can do get you to share your contacts. But with Ethereum+Farcaster, all an app needs is your address / Farcaster username. https://twitter.com/nikitabier/status/1403498766737444865

What if you could take a verifiable list of your friends with you everywhere? I mean Twitter follower/ing, LinkedIn etc. That kinda of solves this problem no?

Your pitch here sounds to me that ethereum enables social apps to molest me and break through all of my privacy preferences by default and I cannot do anything about it. All in the name for whatever "social" app. The reason people don't share contacts is they do not want to.

True for "public" graph. Seems like Nikita is also mentioning the private graph here, which by definition is not public and would require consent from the person in any case. Which would make us go back to the Apple contacts problem. wdyt?

this was the dream for urbit, as well. one graph, shared by all apps on your ship (and optionally socially-shared with others). alas, %graph-store died and new Groups is hard to work with as an API
