Current state of consumer crypto:

We have GPS and a camera phone, but we haven't found Uber and Instagram yet.

Possible GPS/camera phone equivalents: stablecoins, smart contracts, smart wallets, an open social graph, low cost L2s, passkeys.

Or the GPS and camera phone haven't arrived yet?

I assume @slokh is arguing that those two functions had their own independent utilities separately (obvious use cases without constructing a new thing). 

I would argue we have:
- Stablecoins (fast cheap transfer of unlimited fiat)
- Programmatic liquidity (AMMs and beyond) 

The other infra things you mention aren’t useful by themselves imho - but they’re required to make the bigger more useful Instagram, Uber thing
