1/ of many curious Qs: EigenLayers makes a lot of sense but back when there was no Eigenlayer, it was hard to think of this 0 to 1 innovation. How did you come up with it and did you consider PoW for this instead of PoS?

We currently listed 12 different LSTs. In terms of delegation, that is on the roadmap to go live. So you will be able to delegate to your operator to run different services in the near future.

5 / of many curious Qs : Would you consider creating a marketplace to allow other LSDs to be listed on your platform and not just a handful of big players? The marketplace can also be used: ex / I would like to delegate my LSTs / LSDs to bridges only or to DEX services only. Giving me that option will be great.

4 / of many curious Qs : How can farcaster hubs be built on Eigenlayer and benefit from the security and incentive mechanisms that are available for validators?

Great question. It is important that some AVSs are lightweight enought that ANY Ethereum validators can run without any additional stress. There will be more powerful AVSs that require more computation from its operators. For those AVSs...

2 / of many curious Qs: i love the flexible re-supply of security via LSDs (co-ordination super highway) - do you anticipate potential stress on the expansion of duties of validators because of this superhighway?

Currently they cannot but I think a few LRTs and bridge provider are working on this feature. But I highly recommend restakers to check the underlying mechanism for "restaking on L2s" because they are built permissionless on top of EigenLayer.

how would you explain the benefits of eigenlayer to a 5 year old?

We have an extensive Risk FAQ Page that answers many of these questions. The one that would directly impact Ethereum's economic security would be around smart contract risks and mass slashing event. This is largely why we've taken a phased approach to mainnet launch as well because we want to minimize the risks...

What risks does eigenlayer present that could compromise the security of the mainnet??

I do think so. Building AVS (Actively Validated Services) on EigenLayer takes a lot of technical knowhow, since it is close to the base layer of the crypto stack.

Do you think having a technical background give you an intuitive understanding that is important when developing products at the level of Eigen?

I'm unsure how this would work. PoW chains, by definition, don't have slashing conditions because all participants are unknown to the network. So, my answer would be no here. I am not familiar with Karmic...

It seems inevitable that people will over leverage their stake (if not on eigenlayer, then on other peer services in addition to), do you have any strategies for dealing with this?

What incentives are planned for promoting decentralization of AVS operators?

Hi @sreeramkannan people have been restaking for a while now and collecting points. Could you hint or tease at any rewards mechanisms / utility around these that can be expected later this year?

If you collect EigenPoints from multiple providers (eg swell and ether fi) is the total combined?

Hi @sreeramkannan I wonder if you have a good case study of a system that would slash based on a qualitative set of checks. EI: a staked participant attested to something that was found by a delegate or system of delegates to be inaccurate or Sybil in nature.
