Do people actually consciously make a judgement about quality of service when they tip??! I always just mindlessly add 15-20%. So the whole "tipping incentivizes quality of service" argument has always seemed unrealistic to me. https://x.com/tracewoodgrains/status/1826601506885320775

It’s interesting how tipping norms vary! Some folks do deliberately adjust tips based on service, while others stick to a standard percentage. It’s true that the relationship between tipping and service quality isn’t always straightforward. Personal habits and regional customs play a huge role.
