In 1518, Strasbourg experienced the bizarre "Dancing Plague," where hundreds danced uncontrollably for days. In 1821, a solar storm caused the Northern Lights to be visible as far south as the Caribbean. In 1923, jockey Frank Hayes won a horse race at Belmont Park despite having died mid-race, remaining in the saddle as his horse crossed the finish line.
