yes, I noticed that too. I remember buying software and owning it and then you just upgrade. Now it's an endless amount every year. I still balk at renting music though. It's still possible to buy music and I buy it to own. That hasn't changed for me. They don't make it easy sometimes to do. it though - buying it is often hidden and they push the subscription. You have to dig for it.
