Gracias! It’s not snow. It’s gypsum sand. It feels like powder.

It's truly a unique place. It's a national park in New Mexico: https://www.visitlascruces.com/things-to-do/attractions/white-sands-national-park/ It's a true wonder in the world. The sand is actually translucent rather than white. It looks more yellowish in full sun, but after the sun sets, it looks very white and immediately becomes cold. It stuck to my legs like flour as I had sunscreen on them. It's very soft and silky.

It's incredible what you're telling me about the sand in that desert. That’s why I thought it was frozen water—it looked almost translucent. Are there usually strong winds there that move the dunes from one place to another? I feel sad because I don’t think I’ll ever be able to see that wonder of the world in person, even though I’d love to. It’s truly fascinating.
