Breaking my brain with readings on metaphysical freedom this week.

Aka "do we actually have free will?"

Yeah.  Free will in philosophy is a head trip.  Absolute head trip.  Because a lot of the arguments for free will mostly break down to people just refusing to admit they might not fully have free will themselves, and that's a sucky feeling for a lot of people.  Humans are control freaks and if we're not in control?  Yikes!
