haha, yeah, I've fawned over it quite a bit, haven't I? 😆  I think of you (and my other Turkish friends) when I eat dried Turkish figs, which I do every day. Are figs very common in Turkey? I think they grow them in the USA, but the figs and apricots at the bulk store I buy them from always have both of those fruits from Turkey. Well, actually, there are black dried figs with no specified country too, but I always get the Turkish ones as they look better to me.

Yes, I like fresh ones too, but they were limited to a short time in the summer here for sale. I found some fresh ones in Italy in October.

I love dried figs, have been my fave since I was a kid. I love fresh ones too. 

Dried figs are very common, also dried apricots, apple, plum, mulberries... Dried fruits are eaten as  snacks, either separately or with nuts and almonds, walnuts etc. Or  also in various desserts.
