Moxiesplaining Journal Day 3: Rethinking Narratives Observing Moxie Fan Token value flows is prompting me to rethink the mental models of âsupporting creatorsâ and âmonetizing an audience.â Fan Tokens donât fit charity or patronage models. Buyers arenât donating or becoming patrons. Big Moxie rewards earners who donât yet have Fan Tokens get nudged to launch them, because benefits can flow to their followers and the FC network when they do. Holding Fan Tokens isnât a loyalty test, either. Itâs OK to sell; it's necessary to realize gains. Itâs part of the mechanism design. Creators receive a 2.5% fee from every sale. They also benefit from holding other entitiesâ Fan Tokens. So how much of buying/selling Fan Tokens is motivated by altruism, and how much by self-interest? It's not obvious. Perhaps that's the point. --------- (ICYMI: Moxiesplaining Journal is a daily window into my observations, learnings, and âthe view of Moxie from where I sitâ as a writer + editor).

Someone sold just ONE of my FTs recently and I noticed I didn't get anything from it. Maybe it was too small? But I did receive moxie from previous sales a while ago. Someone received 14 moxie that I can see on the transaction, but it's wasn't me. The sale transaction does show on my wallet though.

Well, I'm not sure what happened in your case, but I do know that Airstack recently made a change to the way the 2.5% fee is distributed. Instead of releasing it immediately as tokens are sold, it's now included in your everyday rewards. Or at least that's the most recent update I heard.
