This whole scheme is dumb, we should just refer to age cohorts by their decade of birth like in China.

We put too much emphasis a number. A year is how long it takes for the Earth to rotate around the Sun. Humans are too complex to boil down someone's age to a number. People age at different rates depending on genes, environment and lifestyle. There are "mature" people in their 20's and immature people in their 60's.
