Today I took my group to the Ponta de Sao Lourenco, Madeira and ITAP at the first viewpoint. The volcanic formations and its colours always leave me breathless.

I'm back to Madeira and its beauty always throws me aback. At 1095 meters high, at Eira do Serrado you can look down into the valley and see the village called Curral das Freiras surrounded with chestnut trees and high and steep cliffs. The flora is incredible, no matter where you go are on this island.

It is called a Basilica Cistern, due to its size and structure, but it was actually a water reservoir, today museum in the centre of Istanbul.
