THE STORY BEHIND DRAKULA Our first product was Showtime, the āInstagram for NFTsā. It launched in 2021 and quickly gained 50K users. However, people left as they preferred trading NFTs over showcasing them. Many iterations followed, including a marketplace and NFT airdrops, but none sticked. In consumer, brand matters. Crypto consumers used Showtime once but didnāt come back. We needed a new flashy brand for people to check us out again. Enter Drakulaš©ø Drakula is a TikTok-like app for speculating on Farcaster creators. Itās our biggest success so far: 50K+ users together generated 1B $DEGEN in trading volume ($65M at ATH, $4.5M now) in 2 months. We earned creators millions of dollars. It also helped us afford an extra excellent engineer. Today, we firmly believe in our āvideo + tradingā thesis. If the economics work this well on such a small userbase, Iām extremely optimistic about scaling this experiment to 1B users. The best is yet to come. Weāre cooking and itās not demure. LFG !
