dubious that doordash is targeting EBT. probably works well: low impulse control / high time preference is ideal for many businesses including pawn shops, payday loans, and now $6.99 delivery apps (after the free promo) from people who really can't be paying $6.99 for delivery

Ultimately people should use their brain and make smart choices. Time spent working results in money, which is spent on food. Cooking food ahead of time is what smart people do. Buy groceries. Make the food at home. Pack your lunch. This isn’t limited to a tax bracket.

I grew up in the country and also suburbs, so I understand the reality of not having access to fresh food. But in the country you also don’t have access to delivery. In suburbs you can walk to the grocery store. The world makes it easy to opt for “convenience”. One way or another, you will sacrifice your time.
