Strangers are seriously scary. If you’re using Instagram, check your ‘Location Settings’ right now. The ‘Map’ feature has been updated, and now third parties can see your location. If you’re using Instagram at home right now, your home address could be revealed—so be careful. Crypto users, especially—you tend to have money, so you’re even more at risk of being targeted. By default, your location might be visible. Please make sure to turn off location sharing using the steps below: ► For iPhone: 1. Open the Settings app 2. Tap Privacy & Security → Location Services 3. Scroll down and select Instagram 4. Set to “Never” or “While Using the App” (choose “Never” to turn it off completely) ► For Android: 1. Open the Settings app 2. Tap Location → App location permissions 3. Select Instagram 4. Choose “Don’t allow”
