Chargebacks are a bitch. Especially for the digital goods. Will be interesting to see who that risk is gonna land on. Imagining it’s gonna be the client app dev w the fiat ‘commerce’ (merchant) account. Abstracted offchain points system probably won’t eliminate the headache. Might make it worse.

I think you answered your own question. They will exist & yeah the Darwinian marketplace will take over. Social layer may have big role here. Different maybe better. Having proof of existence here is key. Haven’t seen frames doing that but maybe some are.

Are chargebacks even a thing in this new world? Seems to be that the risk will land on the person clicking the link that spends from their wallet. I think is the right thing. Great brands will be known for initiating chargebacks for unhappy customers.

Super interesting idea. Is there more written on that? Is it permissionless? Would LOVE to disrupt the card schemes.

‘dev with fiat commerce’ is the key phrase here. There will be chargebacks if your app accepts fiat.

You can’t have a charge back if there’s no bank. There could be smart contracts to handle it or insurance, or you can just keep it super simple and have a no refund (re: chargeback) policy
