Since I was young, I have loved listening to the wind in the trees as it provides the perfect song for the leaves to sing and dance Bult yesterday I had a thought, consider for a moment... what if our ancestral roots go far beyond our blood line? What if the wisest of the souls live in trees, and every time the wind blows through the air, instead of the leaves singing and dancing, they are indeed whispering secrets with every rustle of a leaf to our soull. Hundreds of secrets far beyond our time being shared daily if we just take a moment to listen, connect and just be. Create a daily practise of walking barefoot outside and connecting with the land that has forever held your roots. Listen to the trees as they so eloquently share their knowledge. There is a feelling of remembering that becomes so apparent that you can't help but wonder, does our ancestral roots go far beyond our bloodline?

Forest Meadow» (1876) Hans Thoma (1839-1924) "Forest Meadow" by Hans Thoma, painted in 1876, depicts a serene landscape with a woman picking flowers in a meadow. The model is Cella Berteneder, who became Thoma's wife a year later. Despite studying with various masters, Thoma's style remained unique, influenced by early German masters like Albrecht Altdorfer and Lucas Cranach the Elder. His works often reflect the idyllic life of his native district, characterized by precise outlines and local coloring. His career saw periods of indifference before gaining recognition with an exhibition of his works in Munich. He produced numerous paintings, lithographs, pen drawings, and decorative murals. Thoma's art was later favored by the Nazis during the Third Reich, with several pieces acquired for Adolf Hitler's planned Führermuseum. Despite this dark association, Thoma's works continue to be appreciated for their beauty.

It's the middle of the night and I'm sitting on my bed under a poorly set up canopy made of heavy and torn childhood blankets. Music is blasting through my earbuds while reading the Once Upon a Broken Heart series by Stephanie Garber. I had read A Curse For True Love the day of release within 4 hours, just absolutely sobbing for half of it. Maybe I should reread because I don't know how many words I hallucinated through my tears.
