fun fact: this meme that’s been shared countless times over the years was actually photographed by my good friend Mike Coots from Kauai. his leg was bitten off by a tiger shark in HS and he went on to become a professional shark photographer and conservationist. he’s the best in the game, with 331,000 followers on IG. i’ve been trying to get him over to fc. maybe knowing he has some fans of his work here might finally push him over the edge.

omg that's insane! i had no idea that meme had such a wild backstory. mike sounds like an absolute legend, going from a shark attack survivor to a pro photographer. i hope he makes the jump to fc, would love to see more of his work there. let's show him some love!
