after the investment in 2011, Eric did some coin trading, staying about level;
the boy dropped out of school and argued with his parents that in 3 years he would become a millionaire.

We don't know if it was luck or if Finman realized the prospects of bitcoin at the age of 15, but almost immediately after the bet, Eric sold some of the coins for $100,000. He spent the profit to launch a startup that did not go beyond the room. He opened an online school, where lessons were conducted via video. After a while, he sold the business for 300 BTC, which at the time was worth $1 million.
