Digging in the allotment and realized that the space I wanted to plant my dahlias is the wettest part of the allotment - really really wet gloggy even watery… You habe recommendations for a heavy clay wet spot - which plant will still happily live there?

For flowers: roses will do fine, foxgloves, hydrangeas, and moisture-loving plants in general. 🌹 🐱 You can mix in some compost/leaf mould to help break down the clay & encourage worms; it's actually very rich in nutrients! btw - feel free to join us in /allotment for plot-focused discussions, good luck!

Hope it goes well! Remember that clay is only clay, until it's broken down through forking, root growth, organic breakdown (such as worms), or otherwise. Then it becomes absolutely nutrient-dense soil. Hope to see ya on the /allotment plots frenpai! 👩🌾 🐈
