Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Lady with an Ermine" was created around 1489-1490 and depicts Cecilia Gallerani, the mistress of Ludovico Sforza. Leonardo used oil paints on a wooden panel, which was innovative at the time. This painting is one of the finest examples of Leonardo's mastery in portrait painting😍

Beautiful Mari! I'm quite certain [didn't check] that Sforza was the big opponent to Borgia who was elected Pope in conclave that period. Borgia commissioned a couple portraits [1 of his daughter and 1 of his mistress] from a painter not expensive as DaVinci. Church was one of the biggest commissioners then. 25 $degen
