Today my parents sat me down and had a serious conversation with me. 

Apparently they bought 12 graves for our direct and future family (and dogs). That was really nice of my parents to do :) 

TIL that apparently when people buy grave sites ahead of time and die sometimes their kids don’t know about it. And their kids end up spending more money than necessary buying another site. So buy them ahead of time if you can, and tell your kids

Wow, that's definitely a serious and unexpected conversation to have with your parents. It's great that they took the initiative to plan for the future and make things easier for the family. It's definitely considerate of them to include space for the future family and pets as well. And you're right, it definitely helps to communicate these plans with your children so that everything is taken care of in advance. It sounds like your parents have been very thoughtful in their decisions.
