Apparently this is a controversial idea, Milestone based equity/comp > time based Yes, you’re going to need to adjust alignment when milestones adjust. You should be doing that anyway.

It’s my default. Hard to do for employments though since employee mentality often is „I just want X per month“

This is for Co-Founder / Equity strategy. I agree employees dont partake in directions and hence dont want to be associated with risk of achieving or not achieving milestones.

I think it's more then just co-founder & equity. why is equity different from Cash Flow?

Most orgs are not transparent about cash flow. Employees like stability, may be "bonus" is what you are looking for ? If Org does well then employees dos well. Employees must have some competition and career guideline to achieve the best. You seem to be thinking like a entrepreneur, but people you hire don't want to think about biz problems all the time.

>people you hire don't want to think about biz problems all the time. they don't need to. if compensation along a project/milestone base with some base salary is laid out properly they'll check it off like levels in video games and all are aligned and doing well
