Phantasmagoria of a Moscow Artist
The artist's creative style is deeply individual. Kraposhin has a special ability to depict existing reality and sees it in his own way. The artist's works are based on real observations, but on his canvases they are transformed into a new reality, acquiring an element of generalization. Often, he brings a private, specific episode to the level of a typical phenomenon.
The paintings of Viktor Kraposhin are a panorama of the life of modern society, which has everything: humor, tragedy, drama, and joy. His works are full of allegorical symbolism, they are like a labyrinth that needs to be understood, deciphered.
Kraposhin explores the world.
To awaken the ability to think, to make the viewer think, to find internal connections in the depicted plot - this is the multi-layered and ambiguous nature of the artist's work.

How Norman Rockwell Used Photographs to Create His Famous Paintings.
At the beginning of his career, the artist used the services of close and professional models, but over time he decided that this method hindered the development of a naturalistic style. Then, in the late 1930s, Rockwell began to develop his own approach to illustration. To create paintings, most of which became magazine covers, he turned to photography.
Before the photo shoot, the artist showed the sketch to the models, explaining how and where it was best to stand, how to hold their hands, what emotions to convey. Since most of the models were not professionals, but simply acquaintances or neighbors of the artist, Norman did not demand too much from them. However, he always took this stage of the work seriously and sought to embody his ideas into reality as accurately as possible. 0 reply

Eugene Philastre "The Death of Queen Galswintha"
Queen Galswintha was born a rich Visigothic princess who was forced to go to Neustria to marry King Chilperic I. The king was completely enchanted by her. He gave her the lands of Limoges, Bordeaux, Cahors, Béarn and Bigorre and promised to dismiss all his wives and other betrotheds if she married him.
In 567, Chilperic married Galswintha and received a rich dowry with her. For some time, he really removed Fredegund from himself. However, she began to actively intrigue against the new queen. Just a year after the wedding, due to Fredegund's intrigues, Chilperic cooled towards his wife, and quarrels broke out between them constantly.
After another quarrel, Chilperic calmed his wife with gentle words and, assuring her of his love, put her to bed. Then the king ordered a servant to strangle Galeswintha in her sleep, and in the morning pretended to find her dead. 0 reply

The myth "Leda and the Swan" in the painting by Francois Boucher.
Everyone knows that the great and mighty Zeus was a voluptuary. He loved women, and women loved him. And how could he not love? He was the Thunderer, the most important on Olympus.
One problem, because of his weakness, Zeus was promiscuous in his relationships. He would see a pretty face, and that's it, he was gone. He didn't care that some ladies had legal husbands. Like Leda, for example.
Leda is a mortal woman, the daughter of the Aetolian king Thestius and Eurythemis. Some sources, however, report that her parents were Sisyphus and Pantydia. What can you do, it was a long time ago. Such small details of the biography were hidden in the darkness of centuries.
But it is known for certain that Leda was legally married to the king of Sparta Tyndareus. True, they say that she was given to him without consent. Leda's father presented Tendarei with his young daughter for helping him defeat his enemies. Sad. Who would ask girls then? 0 reply
