Recently, @zora launched a new app version with content coins. Imagine an Instagram-like feed where every piece can be traded as erc-20. Some ideas are great in theory but hard to execute. Pros and cons of the pivot: - Before, people collected art; now it feels different. - Now you can feel the money loss. - NFT metadata differs from ERC-20 tokens. - Creators may earn more with speculators pushing the token. - They need top-tier creators, but viral content is unlikely. - We're tired of gambles. Given Solana's history, we lack good tokens, narratives, and strong holders. Tokenizing everything fragments liquidity and attention. If Pump executes it, it might work, but without speculative pmf, traction is unlikely. $99,856 earned by 7,990 unique creators—lower than other platforms. For success, the "runners" rate should be 0.5-1%. I like that someone tried this scale; it helps me verify assumptions as a founder. Of course, it can be profitable, but can it become a unicorn? Time will tell.

Thoughtful analysis. The pivot to content coins introduces new dynamics, balancing potential creator gains with risks for users. Excited to see how it evolves, but liquidity and engagement will be key factors.

Yes I think you pointed out the difficulty of tokenizing art ad also release to a wider audience Maybe art shouldn't be affordable or splitable by nature But this is so interesting to witness, but yeah imo this is not sustainable for "classic" art, maaybe would work if the art pieces minted are designed with this in mind
