A scammy VC approached us. Red flags: 1. An accountant analyst reached out (they hacked her socials). 2. No video on the calls. When I pointed this out, he said it wasn't mandatory without apologizing. 3. We sent a Google Meet link, but they insisted on using their Zoom link. 4. The person who initially contacted us didn't join. Instead, two others did: the personal assistant of the analyst and another guy who didn't introduce himself. I checked the team's website during the call and couldn't find him. I asked the guy's role and tenure. He said he was an intern for four months. I wanted to drop the call but decided to give it a chance. 5. His first question was, โWhat stage are you at?โ No intro, no pitching. All his questions were unprofessional, and I realized it was a waste of time. Later, I realized that I know a partner from the VC and they confirmed it was a scam. Be careful and attentive. I wanted to have fun and see how they will pull the rug, but mb next time๐ค

Even with the right link it can still be malware. Better to do a complete sweep of your computer.
