The most important lesson of parenting is that sometimes your children will eat a lot, and sometimes they will eat nothing. Sometimes they will be smart, and sometimes they will be stupid. Sometimes they will sleep a lot, and sometimes they will not sleep at all. Sometimes they will upset them, and sometimes they will make them happy. Sometimes they will learn, and sometimes they will not learn. Sometimes they will climb the walls and run on the ceiling, and sometimes they will be terribly slow. And the only thing you really need is to love them, be patient, and understand that all this is absolutely normal.
