any tips to meet more peers/founders in your city?

most founder focused events typically have adverse selection; the best founders are too busy for these sorts of things in most part

have lived in sf/nyc where there is a large community, but my tips:

1.) keep things small, you don't really get to meet ppl when its 25+
2.) personally invite people you want to come, on the receiving end im way more likely to come if someone personally invites me
3.) Personal opinion, but I feel like setting the tone is really important, you shouldn't try to network/BD at these, everyone can tell from a mile away - it will come up at some point though in conversation
