/memes channel update: 1. if you hold a membership nft you can cast in the channel 2. if you don’t, you can subscribe to cast (0.00420 eth/yr) 3. there are 4,349 holders of the membership nft on hypersub but only 616 members of the channel on warpcast, which means that not everyone who was airdropped or minted a subscription was added during migration. if this is you, **dc me a link to your hypersub profile and i’ll manually add you** 4. if you spam the channel you’ll be kicked out, no refunds 5. 96% of channel subscription revenue will continue to be used for 0.00420 eth tips to the bangers. 4% will continue going to mods (which is just me for now, but i will add more soon)

Cross-posting a thought on staking from the other app: ------ Perhaps we should recognize that 32 ETH is much more of a barrier for stakers than bandwidth reqs, and temporarily do a trade where we up the bandwidth reqs a bit and in exchange drop the staking deposit minimum to eg. 16 or 24 ETH. It's net-good for both staking accessibility and scale. Then once we figure out peerdas, bandwidth reqs go back down, and once we figure out orbit SSF, the deposit minimum can drop to 1 ETH.

1 ETH nodes #stakefromhome will grow and more will have skin in the game. +1 on this idea. I’m an early 16 & 8 ETH Rocket Pool node operator and that hurdle is still to high for most. #etherfi has done the best job thus far lowering the barrier to easy staking but still most don’t run nodes bc it’s 2 ETH

Why is the aesthetic of gyms, even the good ones, always so lifeless? Always black and grey and white everywhere. I want fans blowing air in my face at 12 km/h and a simulation of running along a forest path in a magical fantasy world .... or at least some plants.

The SEC sank to new lows yesterday. Since day one, the SEC has said tokens *are* securities, even though that makes no sense as a matter of law. Yesterday in the Binance case, they finally admit that's wrong — and gaslight a federal court about YEARS of their own arguments 🤯 h/t @iampaulgrewal for posting on X:

Which countries are leading the charge for crypto regulations? Which country’s model for regulation will the USA likely follow? POV: Singapore, some small islands, the UK & EU are my best guesses. I heard from a lawyer that the USA will likely follow the UK & EU’s crypto laws once proven they are effective.

yesterday, I don't think I fully appreciated how cool it is that the Merkle team decided to effectively spin up a creator fund and was able to implement it over a few days (anons included) without a single form or signature. No worries about banking infra, currency conversions, payment delays, etc. Youtube first started creator payouts in 2007 in the U.S. Then slowly navigated banking infra in stabler countries (i.e. Australia, Canada) then worked their way over to Europe, India, etc. and by 2015 considered themselves a "global creator fund". It took them 8 years!! Even today, there are so many countries in Africa they simply can't get into their creator $ system because of banking infra. Regardless of whether Warpcast continues the experiment for content quality purpose, it's pretty awesome they implemented this creator fund built on crypto rails as a "quick test".

https://x.com/sassal0x/status/1826932477866197094 A similar error is that many people want early stage industry vibez without early stage industry risks. eg. too many defi protocols, not enough popup cities / network states / zu villages 😀

Another example is Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefèvre from 1923… arguably one of the best trading books ever. What other examples are there beyond these two? 1. My life in Advertising by Claude Hopkins 2. Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefèvre
