Phenomenal. And that's 10,000 per day by hand. Assuming, say, 2.5 seconds per word on average, that's 7 hours of just the physical act of writing the words. Throw in some thinking, eating, etc., and that's most of the day.

Great series. I think the final season is coming soon. Joe is a fascinating character. Almost the anti-villain as opposed to the anti-hero. 🤣 You should definitely write a story with an anti-hero. A lot more fun, I'd say.

I'd say there's some flexibility on the "deeply relatable hero" part. Sometimes the anti-hero or the deeply unrelatable hero makes the best story.

Haha. I remember thinking that would be the doomsday scenario. Anyone but the Lakers. As raptors fans, we were tracking the team private jet. Restaurants were offering him free meals for life. I just wish we would've been able to see more Kawhi vs Lebron in the playoffs.

I'd say you need to add Kawhi to this because this was the cost of signing him. He reportedly ask Toronto to trade for PG as well. Still terrible in hindsight, but considering Kawhi was coming off a championship run and was looking like the best player on the planet, it's at least defensible.

This week, we talk ReFi projects forming syndicates to increase their chances of grant funding. Plus, a delay in the release of the Glow deep dive. https://paragraph.xyz/@carboncopy/on-syndicates-and-grant-funding

That does read well! Mixing up the sentence length is so key in fiction. Btw, feel free to post your work in this channel! I created it because /fiction had no activity.

Haha. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Better than 3, even. 2 reigns supreme in my mind. Can never get enough of that one.

It's an interesting about face, because a few weeks ago he was talking about convincing OPEC to increase output to tank oil prices and saying that Russia wouldn't be able to hold out much longer. My read is that nothing said verbally can't actually be assumed to have meaning in terms of policy. If Russia starts balking or Ukraine gives rare earth rights, his ramblings will change in an instant.

My dad (former bush pilot) had this to say: I’m sure the plane ran into the wingtip vortices of a larger plane that had just landed. They are very dangerous and will easily flip planes. Wingtip vortices can pose a hazard to aircraft, especially during the landing and takeoff phases of flight. The intensity or strength of the vortex is a function of aircraft size, speed, and configuration (flap setting, etc.). The strongest vortices are produced by heavy aircraft, flying slowly, with wing flaps and landing gear retracted ("heavy, slow and clean"). Large jet aircraft can generate vortices that can persist for many minutes, drifting with the wind.

Interesting! It was an Azerbaijan Airlines flight. The pilots could definitely have been trained on Soviet techniques.

Thanks for this! I'm going to read up on windshear. I remember a particularly hard landing in Kyiv nearly 20 years ago. Felt like we were dropped onto the runway. Airbus A320, iirc. One of those landings that actually moved things in the overhead compartments.
