This week I attended a Base Network conference at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) @thirdinternet ,where I claimed my Base name and formed a team for the Base Buildathon. The event was filled with like-minded innovators excited to collaborate and drive on-chain solutions. I shared insights about how the Base community supports and drives innovation through onboarding and mentorship. Inspired by the experience, I now plan to create a community for Base Network enthusiasts to learn, collaborate, and bring their projects on-chain. @jessepollak @sir-damilare @yele.eth @seneca @base @carlosjmelgar @kabir @statuette @kokocodes https://medium.com/@olaidekenni/a-day-at-the-base-network-conference-at-oau-my-journey-into-the-base-buildathon-and-community-ce402f0c4526 Below is a video of the event: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMhkWuBQX/

I recently visited a Chinese restaurant in Africa for the very first time, and the experience was like stepping into a scene from a Chinese movie. The ambiance was warm and authentic, with traditional lanterns and bamboo accents setting the tone. The aroma of spices filled the air, promising a culinary adventure. Each dish was a delightful blend of flavors—sweet, salty, spicy—just as I had imagined from the films I've watched. But it wasn't just the food that made it memorable. The staff served each dish with a grace that turned the meal into a cultural experience. From the careful preparation to the ritual of pouring tea, everything was done with mindfulness and care. It was a small yet meaningful glimpse into Chinese culture, right here in my African city. Since then, I find myself returning not just for the delicious food but for the atmosphere—a little slice of China that offers a brief escape and a deeper appreciation for the culture I've admired on screen. /live-the-same
