One thing I like about Twitter is it feels like posts have a longer shelf life. Something I tweet today feels like it can simmer for a few days and still reach new people. On here I feel like the Casts are only valid for ~24 hours. Could be completely off but just a feeling I've been having lately

I just looked at my Home and Trending feeds, and home had content mostly 2-4 hours old, while trending was mainly 6-8 hours old. Quite short. Would be cool to see a similar trending that was 1-2 days old and 1 week old, similar to how reddit lets you sort by longer timeframes and see better content

I think the team was purposefully adjusting the algo for more recent content as requested by the community when the algo fed too much older stuff. Might be a Goldilocks situation. Tagging @V since he was the one communicating on the subject matter.

they're trying to have the recency of the chrono feed without having to get rid of their algo maximalism, but now the feed is too recent and stuck halfway between what users actually want
