interested in hearing if people agree with this do you want an algo feed? or do you want a feed that shows you everything posted by the people you follow?

I expect I’ll want at least a few Lagos/feeds in the future. (Looking forward to this subscription business.) A pure follow feed would be nice. Channels (could) complicate a pure follow-feed, unless it’s a separate feed altogether.

I think the vast majority of people want to be seen and the current algo hides that majority from any kind of popular channel or post. Since Dan has Priority mode on, he only sees a minority and not the people who disagree with his algo. Easy to say everyone agrees when you ignore or hide any objections.

some portion why i’m here is twitter’s algo started shitting the bed for me, but my chrono feed was too boring at least twitter made it easy then to go from algo to chrono (without having to pay for a 3rd party client)

i want both. even when i was still on x daily i would use the algo feed (lightly) for discovery i plan to try out supercast and other clients to supplement my warpcast experience

I think following vs algo tends to be stated vs revealed preference (if algo is good) Realistically I think if you want pure following, you’ll never get that on the mainstream app because that’s not what most people really want (I don’t)

Stated vs. revealed. Power users want different things, but algorithmic feed wins on pretty much every revealed preference, even for power users.

i want an algo feed for channels because they are full of spam and will be forever, but follows (i.e. current home tab) should have a choice between chronological and some kind of algo, especially to highlight UNSEEN several day old casts what I don't want is seeing the same cast multiple times a day 5 days in a row
